Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it could actually stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover easy as a result of you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime charges, another press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to manage, however will hold rookies on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost certainly need to bounce straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it appears to chop energy often when I'm descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, due to this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and received a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got a great flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was straightforward to solder on the camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again side of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I could fly it various brief flights (the digital camera already had points from it is car responsibility days). for certain, though, I shall be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had loads of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My youngsters additionally like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise an honest amount, but it would run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
