Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "just one other clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not sufficient down throttle - it is robust to hover clean as a result of you're a the very backside end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "rate" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for top rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to manage, but will hold learners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most certainly want to soar straight to the high rates. Overall, the one unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it seems to chop power usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is better. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The essential battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam energy lead, so just a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the digital camera already had points from it's automobile obligation days). for sure, although, I might be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had a variety of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise an honest quantity, however it is going to run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
