Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it could actually stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover easy because you're a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for high rates, one other press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to regulate, but will preserve newbies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost certainly need to soar straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it appears to cut power often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, attributable to this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is better. As a aspect word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam power lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I might fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is automobile responsibility days). for positive, though, I shall be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had lots of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children also like it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a decent amount, however it should run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I really favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
