Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it may stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover smooth because you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs blissful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, however will hold newcomers on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most probably want to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only dangerous habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it appears to cut energy usually when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, due to this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and received a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a facet word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The essential battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was simple to solder on the camera power lead, so just a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automobile duty days). for positive, although, I will probably be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I have had a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children also like it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise an honest quantity, but it's going to run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically imply crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I really favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
