Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover easy because you are a the very backside end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs glad and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for high rates, one other press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will preserve novices on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will probably wish to soar straight to the high rates. Overall, the only dangerous behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut power typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, attributable to this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is better. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was simple to solder on the camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I could fly it various brief flights (the camera already had issues from it's car duty days). for positive, although, I will likely be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had a whole lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry an honest amount, however it's going to run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically mean crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
