Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover clean as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for high charges, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to control, however will preserve beginners on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly need to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it appears to cut energy typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is best. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got a great flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so just a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is automotive responsibility days). for positive, although, I will be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I've had loads of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My kids also prefer it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a decent quantity, however it will run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I really favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
