Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover easy because you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime rates, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to control, however will keep novices on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely want to jump straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it appears to chop energy typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, attributable to this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an awesome flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I might fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it's automobile obligation days). for certain, though, I will be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children also like it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry a good amount, however it'll run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically imply crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
