Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig will not be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover smooth as a result of you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime charges, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to regulate, but will keep freshmen on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most definitely want to jump straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it appears to chop energy typically when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, because of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and acquired a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam power lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it more than a few short flights (the camera already had issues from it is automotive obligation days). for certain, although, I might be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had lots of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My kids also like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise an honest amount, but it's going to run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
