Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it may possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not enough down throttle - it's tough to hover smooth because you're a the very backside end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for high charges, another press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to manage, however will maintain freshmen on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most likely wish to soar straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut power usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is better. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have a terrific flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam power lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I could fly it various short flights (the digicam already had points from it is automobile obligation days). for certain, though, I will probably be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had lots of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children additionally prefer it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate an honest quantity, but it'll run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
