Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig will not be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover easy because you're a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top rates, one other press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, but will maintain inexperienced persons on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely want to jump straight to the high rates. Overall, the one bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it seems to cut energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and bought a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was simple to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I could fly it more than a few brief flights (the digital camera already had points from it's automotive responsibility days). for certain, though, I will probably be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had a lot of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children also prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a decent amount, but it is going to run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
