Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover easy because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs comfortable and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, one other press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to control, however will maintain inexperienced persons on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most probably need to bounce straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one dangerous habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it seems to chop energy often when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, as a result of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and obtained a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was easy to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the camera already had points from it's car duty days). for positive, though, I will probably be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had a number of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a good amount, but it should run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
