Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's tough to hover easy as a result of you're a the very backside end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs comfortable and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime rates, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to control, but will preserve beginners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost certainly want to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the one bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut energy often when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, as a result of this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is healthier. As a side be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was easy to solder on the camera energy lead, so just a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I could fly it more than a few brief flights (the camera already had issues from it is automobile responsibility days). for positive, although, I shall be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had lots of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry a good quantity, however it's going to run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically mean crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
