Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover smooth because you are a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime charges, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to manage, however will maintain beginners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will probably wish to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it appears to cut power typically when I'm descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, as a result of this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and received a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've a great flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a couple of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I could fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the camera already had points from it is automobile obligation days). for sure, though, I shall be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had a whole lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children additionally prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift an honest amount, but it would run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
