Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it may stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it's tough to hover smooth because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top rates, another press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, but will hold beginners on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most probably want to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only bad behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it appears to chop energy often when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and received a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is healthier. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was easy to solder on the camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it more than a few brief flights (the digicam already had points from it is car duty days). for certain, though, I can be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids additionally like it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a good quantity, but it'll run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
