Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's powerful to hover smooth because you're a the very backside end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top rates, another press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will hold beginners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will more than likely need to soar straight to the high rates. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it seems to chop energy typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, attributable to this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and received a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is healthier. As a side be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have a great flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was located so that it was simple to solder on the camera power lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the camera already had points from it's automotive obligation days). for sure, although, I shall be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had quite a lot of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children also like it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry an honest amount, however it's going to run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
