Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not sufficient down throttle - it is powerful to hover smooth as a result of you are a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "fee" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for high charges, another press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, however will preserve freshmen on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will more than likely wish to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one unhealthy habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it seems to chop energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, because of this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and acquired a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an awesome flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the camera already had issues from it's car obligation days). for sure, although, I shall be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I've had a variety of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My kids additionally prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry a decent quantity, but it is going to run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely mean crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
