Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover easy because you're a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to control, however will hold learners on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most certainly need to jump straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it seems to chop energy usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, because of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is better. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was simple to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I may fly it various quick flights (the digital camera already had issues from it's automotive responsibility days). for positive, though, I will be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I've had a number of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children also like it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise an honest amount, but it'll run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
