Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it could possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover smooth because you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will maintain novices on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most certainly need to jump straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only unhealthy habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it seems to chop energy typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, because of this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and got a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now a terrific flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died earlier than I could fly it various brief flights (the camera already had points from it is automotive duty days). for certain, although, I will probably be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had quite a lot of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise a good amount, but it should run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
