Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover easy as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs comfortable and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still simple to regulate, but will maintain freshmen on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely wish to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only dangerous behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it seems to cut energy typically when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, because of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a side be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I could fly it various quick flights (the camera already had issues from it is automotive obligation days). for certain, though, I will likely be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had numerous enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My youngsters also like it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry an honest quantity, but it can run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
