Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "simply another clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's tough to hover smooth because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime rates, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to control, however will keep beginners on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most likely need to jump straight to the high charges. Overall, the one bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it appears to cut energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the camera power lead, so just a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I may fly it various short flights (the camera already had issues from it is automobile obligation days). for sure, although, I can be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I have had loads of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry a decent amount, however it's going to run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically imply crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
