Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "simply another clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover smooth as a result of you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs pleased and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to regulate, but will hold inexperienced persons on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will more than likely wish to jump straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it appears to cut power usually when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, due to this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and got a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so a number of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I could fly it various brief flights (the camera already had points from it's car obligation days). for sure, although, I can be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I have had a whole lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry a good amount, however it is going to run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
