Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover easy because you're a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs blissful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for high rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, however will hold beginners on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most likely want to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it appears to chop energy typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and obtained a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a facet note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an amazing flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I might fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is car obligation days). for sure, though, I will probably be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had a whole lot of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My youngsters additionally like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift an honest amount, but it would run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I actually liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
