Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "simply another clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not enough down throttle - it is robust to hover smooth because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs glad and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top rates, one other press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to control, however will preserve inexperienced persons on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most likely want to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it seems to cut energy typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, attributable to this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and obtained a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a aspect observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was straightforward to solder on the camera power lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I might fly it more than a few short flights (the camera already had issues from it's automotive responsibility days). for certain, although, I will be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had loads of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate an honest quantity, however it'll run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
