Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover smooth as a result of you're a the very backside end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to control, however will hold beginners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost certainly need to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only unhealthy habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it appears to cut power often when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, on account of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a aspect notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have a terrific flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was easy to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a number of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again side of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digicam already had issues from it's automotive obligation days). for sure, although, I can be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had lots of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My youngsters additionally like it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate a good quantity, however it can run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely mean crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
