Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not sufficient down throttle - it is powerful to hover clean because you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "fee" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to control, however will keep newbies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost certainly wish to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only unhealthy behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it seems to cut energy often when I'm descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, because of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The essential battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the digicam power lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I may fly it more than a few brief flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automotive responsibility days). for positive, although, I will be ordering a brand new digital camera.
Summary
I've had loads of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My youngsters additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a good amount, but it's going to run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
