Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not sufficient down throttle - it's powerful to hover clean because you're a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, one other press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to control, but will keep novices on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most certainly want to bounce straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it seems to chop power usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is healthier. As a aspect notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digicam already had issues from it's car obligation days). for certain, though, I can be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I've had loads of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids additionally prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift a decent amount, however it will run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
