Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig will not be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover clean because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "rate" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime rates, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to manage, but will preserve inexperienced persons on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely need to soar straight to the high rates. Overall, the one bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it seems to chop power often when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, as a result of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and got a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is best. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was easy to solder on the camera energy lead, so a number of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I may fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digital camera already had points from it's car duty days). for sure, although, I shall be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had loads of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise a decent quantity, but it should run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't routinely mean crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
