Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not sufficient down throttle - it is robust to hover smooth as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime rates, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to control, however will hold learners on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most probably wish to bounce straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it appears to chop energy typically when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, as a consequence of this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The fundamental battery plug for the quad was located so that it was simple to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digital camera already had issues from it's automobile duty days). for positive, though, I will be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had a lot of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids additionally like it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate a decent quantity, but it'll run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically imply crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
