Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it may stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover easy as a result of you are a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs pleased and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top rates, another press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to manage, however will hold learners on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will probably want to jump straight to the high rates. Overall, the one unhealthy habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it appears to chop power usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is better. As a aspect observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digital camera already had issues from it's automotive duty days). for sure, though, I will be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise a decent quantity, but it will run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
