Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "just another clone" or if it could possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not sufficient down throttle - it's tough to hover easy as a result of you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs pleased and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "fee" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for top charges, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to manage, however will preserve rookies on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most probably need to leap straight to the high rates. Overall, the one dangerous behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it appears to cut power often when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was located so that it was easy to solder on the camera power lead, so a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I might fly it more than a few brief flights (the digital camera already had issues from it's car obligation days). for certain, though, I might be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had lots of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift a good amount, but it'll run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really liked this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
