Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it may well stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover smooth because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for high rates, one other press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to control, but will preserve novices on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely wish to jump straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut energy often when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, because of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The principal battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was simple to solder on the camera power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I may fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the digicam already had issues from it is automotive obligation days). for positive, though, I will likely be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I have had plenty of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry an honest quantity, but it'll run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically mean crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
