Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not enough down throttle - it's tough to hover clean because you are a the very backside end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top rates, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will maintain freshmen on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely need to jump straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one dangerous behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it seems to cut power usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, due to this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and obtained a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is healthier. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a number of screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I might fly it more than a few short flights (the digital camera already had points from it's car duty days). for sure, though, I will probably be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My children also prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry a decent amount, however it'll run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
