Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if this is "simply another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover clean because you're a the very bottom finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs completely happy and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, one other press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will maintain novices on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most definitely wish to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only dangerous behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it seems to cut power often when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, as a result of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and obtained a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is better. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an awesome flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was located so that it was easy to solder on the digital camera power lead, so just a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I could fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is automobile responsibility days). for positive, although, I will probably be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had a number of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise an honest amount, however it can run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
