Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it may possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig will not be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover clean because you are a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs blissful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for high rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to manage, however will preserve newbies on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely wish to jump straight to the high rates. Overall, the one unhealthy habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, because it appears to cut power usually when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, as a result of this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and bought a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is best. As a facet be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've a great flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was located so that it was simple to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I may fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automotive responsibility days). for certain, although, I will be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had a number of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My youngsters also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate a decent amount, but it will run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically mean crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
