Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it may stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig just isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's almost not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover smooth as a result of you are a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs blissful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for top rates, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it moves round easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, however will maintain newcomers on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will more than likely want to soar straight to the high charges. Overall, the only dangerous behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it seems to cut power usually when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, as a result of this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and received a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a side be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The important battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I might fly it more than a few quick flights (the digicam already had points from it's automotive duty days). for certain, although, I might be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I have had a number of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters also prefer it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift a decent quantity, however it will run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely imply crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
