Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm trying on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this assessment, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it could actually stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover easy because you're a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the power! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime charges, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to manage, however will preserve newcomers on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely need to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it appears to chop power usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and obtained a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is better. As a side observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The primary battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I could fly it more than a few brief flights (the camera already had issues from it's automotive responsibility days). for positive, although, I will likely be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had numerous enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My kids also prefer it - they may add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate a good quantity, but it would run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely mean crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
