Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm looking on the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not enough down throttle - it's tough to hover clean because you are a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs blissful and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, another press provides one beep for low rates. In low, it moves round smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to control, but will hold inexperienced persons on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will more than likely need to jump straight to the high charges. Overall, the one dangerous behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it appears to chop power often when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it almost won't hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera power lead, so just a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digicam already had issues from it's car duty days). for certain, although, I shall be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had a variety of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of power. My children also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry an honest amount, but it is going to run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
