Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to trip the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it may possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not enough down throttle - it's powerful to hover clean because you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs pleased and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "rate" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for high charges, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, but will hold rookies on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will most probably need to bounce straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one unhealthy behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it appears to chop energy often when I am descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, on account of this.
Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and received a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a side note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've a terrific flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I may fly it more than a few short flights (the digicam already had points from it is automobile obligation days). for positive, though, I might be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had loads of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My kids additionally prefer it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift a good quantity, but it'll run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
