Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if that is "simply one other clone" or if it could possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be virtually not sufficient down throttle - it is tough to hover easy as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs glad and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for top rates, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will maintain newbies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most definitely need to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it appears to cut power often when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, as a result of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a facet word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was situated so that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I may fly it quite a lot of quick flights (the digicam already had points from it's automotive responsibility days). for certain, though, I will likely be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I have had a number of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My children also like it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry an honest amount, however it would run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
