Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it might probably stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover easy because you are a the very backside finish of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs completely satisfied and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, another press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still easy to regulate, however will maintain beginners on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will probably need to bounce straight to the high rates. Overall, the only dangerous habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, because it seems to chop power often when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, on account of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and acquired a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The essential battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digital camera already had points from it's automotive obligation days). for sure, though, I will be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had plenty of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children also prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can lift an honest quantity, however it is going to run out of power in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't mechanically imply crashes - which is nice for studying to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
