Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "simply another clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be almost not sufficient down throttle - it is powerful to hover clean as a result of you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the power! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and speed / tilt / yaw are simple to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, but will maintain newcomers on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will almost certainly need to soar straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the one dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it appears to cut energy usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned before - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, as a consequence of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and received a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is better. As a facet word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have an incredible flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was easy to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I might fly it various short flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is car duty days). for positive, although, I will likely be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I've had quite a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can elevate an honest quantity, however it will run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically mean crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I really preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
