Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if that is "simply another clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there's virtually not enough down throttle - it is tough to hover easy as a result of you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs comfortable and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top charges, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it moves around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to control, but will keep rookies on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely wish to soar straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only bad behavior I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom finish, as it appears to cut power often when I am descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, attributable to this.
Battery life
Battery life is good. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and bought a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is better. As a facet be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have an important flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was a precise fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I could fly it more than a few short flights (the digicam already had points from it is car obligation days). for certain, although, I might be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I have had a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My youngsters additionally like it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a decent amount, but it should run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically mean crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually favored this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
