Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard.

Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover clean because you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs comfortable and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "price" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press gives a double beep for prime charges, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it moves around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are simple to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still simple to control, however will preserve freshmen on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely need to jump straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only bad behavior I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, as it appears to cut energy often when I'm descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, because of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I used to be persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and bought a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a side notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got a fantastic flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The major battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera energy lead, so just a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Summary
I've had a lot of enjoyable with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids additionally prefer it - they'll add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a good quantity, but it is going to run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically mean crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I really favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
