Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I'm wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if that is "just one other clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on once it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is almost not sufficient down throttle - it's tough to hover smooth as a result of you're a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs pleased and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "rate" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime charges, another press gives one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes round smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, but will hold freshmen on their toes because it zips round. Experienced pilots will most definitely wish to bounce straight to the high charges. Overall, the one bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the bottom end, because it appears to cut power typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually won't hover, resulting from this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was persistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and obtained a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a aspect note, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an awesome flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The primary battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam power lead, so a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was related. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I might fly it more than a few short flights (the digicam already had issues from it is automotive duty days). for sure, although, I can be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had a whole lot of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids additionally like it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift an honest quantity, but it'll run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not robotically imply crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
