Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am trying at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's another "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has constructing block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this review, and see if this is "simply one other clone" or if it could stand out...
Flying
Plug in the battery, and the quad LED's give a slow blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not sufficient down throttle - it is robust to hover smooth because you are a the very bottom finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember those 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "charge" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for prime rates, one other press provides one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around smoothly, and velocity / tilt / yaw are easy to handle. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to regulate, however will preserve novices on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will probably need to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the one bad habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it seems to cut power typically when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it virtually will not hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and acquired a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got a great flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an actual match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The foremost battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!
Camera power wires soldered to the again aspect of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died before I may fly it more than a few quick flights (the camera already had issues from it's automotive responsibility days). for positive, although, I shall be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I've had lots of fun with this quad. It is an efficient flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My children also prefer it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can raise a good amount, but it'll run out of energy in a couple of dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't automatically mean crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
