Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is another "Inductrix Clone". The headline feature that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to journey the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluate, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it can stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is just not loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover smooth as a result of you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs comfortable and rapidly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is smooth. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for top charges, one other press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes round easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are straightforward to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to manage, but will hold rookies on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will most definitely wish to jump straight to the high charges. Overall, the one bad habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, because it appears to chop energy typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, due to this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the stock battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half without and received a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the inventory battery is healthier. As a facet observe, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So now we have a great flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The main battery plug for the quad was positioned so that it was simple to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a few screws later, I was ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying efficiency was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of brief flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is automobile responsibility days). for sure, although, I will be ordering a brand new camera.
Summary
I've had a number of enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My kids additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and other stuff. The quad can carry an honest amount, but it is going to run out of power in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps don't robotically mean crashes - which is sweet for studying to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
