Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. 
Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it will probably stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig isn't loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not enough down throttle - it is powerful to hover clean because you're a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high rates, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to regulate, but will hold newbies on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will more than likely want to leap straight to the high charges. Overall, the only dangerous habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it appears to chop power usually when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, on account of this.
Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was constantly getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and got a strong 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did additionally fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are solely flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is best. As a facet notice, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digital camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The principal battery plug for the quad was situated in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam energy lead, so a couple of screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!

The EF-01 digicam was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digicam died earlier than I could fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digicam already had points from it's automobile responsibility days). for sure, though, I will be ordering a new digital camera.
Summary
I've had numerous enjoyable with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has loads of energy. My kids additionally like it - they may add Legos to it and build cockpits and other stuff. The quad can elevate an honest amount, but it will run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not routinely mean crashes - which is sweet for learning to fly. Overall I actually preferred this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
