Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I'm looking at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, proper? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it will possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the distant, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give steady on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the additional weight of the mini-figure, there is virtually not enough down throttle - it's robust to hover smooth because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle vary. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the facility! Loaded up, the quad continues to be very zippy, and climbs completely happy and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops in the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "price" modes, low and high. the small button beneath the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for top rates, another press gives one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around easily, and velocity / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still easy to manage, however will preserve rookies on their toes because it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost definitely wish to leap straight to the excessive rates. Overall, the only unhealthy habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low range. I want it was a bit smoother on the underside end, because it appears to chop energy often when I'm descending. And, as talked about earlier than - flying unloaded, it almost will not hover, resulting from this.

Battery life
Battery life is nice. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first 3-4 minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half with out and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the inventory battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the stock battery is healthier. As a facet be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we have now an ideal flying quad, with good battery life, and power to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC automobile, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 came with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the highest of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was located so that it was straightforward to solder on the digital camera power lead, so a few screws later, I was able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digital camera was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was comparable. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died earlier than I may fly it more than a few short flights (the digital camera already had issues from it is automobile obligation days). for positive, though, I can be ordering a brand new digicam.
Summary
I have had lots of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My kids additionally prefer it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can lift an honest amount, however it'll run out of energy in about a dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it simply bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically imply crashes - which is good for studying to fly. Overall I really favored this quad, and provides it two thumbs up!
