Review Eachine E011 Mini

Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that's one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline characteristic that makes it stand out it the highest plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that gets to experience the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this evaluation, and see if this is "just another clone" or if it may possibly stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a gradual blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a fast blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is ready to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig shouldn't be loaded, the quad will practically leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there's nearly not sufficient down throttle - it is powerful to hover clean because you're a the very bottom end of the throttle range. Add the little man, or other cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they've the ability! Loaded up, the quad is still very zippy, and climbs happy and quickly. Throttle blips are rewarded with nice hops within the air. Flying is clean. The quad does have two "fee" modes, high and low. the small button below the throttle switches modes - one press offers a double beep for high charges, one other press offers one beep for low charges. In low, it strikes around easily, and pace / tilt / yaw are easy to manage. In High, it get a bit extra spirited. Still straightforward to manage, but will maintain inexperienced persons on their toes as it zips round. Experienced pilots will most probably want to soar straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the one unhealthy habit I discovered with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside end, as it seems to chop energy usually when I'm descending. And, as talked about before - flying unloaded, it nearly won't hover, on account of this.

Battery life
Battery life is good. I used to be consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the primary 3-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the final half without and acquired a solid 7 minutes flight. Overall, I like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I bought for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for 5 minutes, with a noticeable lower in punch. They do fly the quad good, however the inventory battery is best. As a side word, Banggood sells a 5-pack of these batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we now have an excellent flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV digicam that I had used to FPV a small RC automotive, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact match for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The predominant battery plug for the quad was located in order that it was easy to solder on the digicam energy lead, so just a few screws later, I used to be ready to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the back facet of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 digicam was very shut in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my digital camera died before I may fly it more than a few quick flights (the digital camera already had points from it is automotive obligation days). for certain, though, I will be ordering a new digicam.
Summary
I have had lots of fun with this quad. It is an effective flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of power. My youngsters additionally prefer it - they are going to add Legos to it and build cockpits and different stuff. The quad can raise a decent quantity, but it can run out of energy in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not mechanically imply crashes - which is nice for learning to fly. Overall I really appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
