Review Eachine E011 Mini
Banggood.com
Today I am wanting at the Eachine E011 "Block Drone". This is a small quad that is one other "Inductrix Clone". The headline function that makes it stand out it the top plate has building block / Lego attachments! Also, it comes with a lego-ish mini-figure, that will get to ride the quad like a skateboard. Fun, right? Well, let's get into this overview, and see if this is "just one other clone" or if it might stand out...
Flying
Plug within the battery, and the quad LED's give a sluggish blink. Switch on the remote, and the quad LED's go to a quick blink as they bind, then give regular on as soon as it is able to fly. Give the quad a blip of throttle, and if the mini-fig is not loaded, the quad will virtually leap into the air. Without the extra weight of the mini-figure, there may be nearly not sufficient down throttle - it's robust to hover easy as a result of you are a the very backside finish of the throttle range. Add the little man, or different cargo, and it smooths out. Remember these 716 motors? yea, they have the facility! Loaded up, the quad remains to be very zippy, and climbs joyful and shortly. Throttle blips are rewarded with good hops within the air. Flying is easy. The quad does have two "charge" modes, low and high. the small button under the throttle switches modes - one press provides a double beep for prime rates, one other press offers one beep for low rates. In low, it strikes around easily, and speed / tilt / yaw are straightforward to handle. In High, it get a bit more spirited. Still straightforward to control, however will keep novices on their toes as it zips around. Experienced pilots will almost certainly want to leap straight to the excessive charges. Overall, the only dangerous habit I found with the quad is with the throttle low vary. I wish it was a bit smoother on the underside finish, as it appears to cut power typically when I am descending. And, as mentioned earlier than - flying unloaded, it nearly will not hover, due to this.

Battery life
Battery life is sweet. I was consistently getting 6 minutes with the inventory battery. One flight, I ran the first Three-Four minutes with the mini-figure, then the last half with out and bought a stable 7 minutes flight. Overall, I just like the stock battery, no complaints. I did also fly the quad with some Amazon batteries I purchased for my Syma X11. These are 380mah packs, with no printed C-rating. They are only flying for five minutes, with a noticeable decrease in punch. They do fly the quad good, but the stock battery is best. As a aspect be aware, Banggood sells a 5-pack of those batteries, with a multi-pack charger, for about $16.
Mods
So we've got an important flying quad, with good battery life, and energy to spare, what to do? How about FPV! I had a EF-01 FPV camera that I had used to FPV a small RC car, so I pulled it for the E011. The EF-01 got here with a mounting plate that, as luck would have it, was an exact fit for some unused mounting holes on the top of the quad. The most important battery plug for the quad was positioned in order that it was simple to solder on the digital camera power lead, so just a few screws later, I used to be able to fly FPV!
Camera energy wires soldered to the again side of the quad's battery plug
The EF-01 camera was very close in weight to the mini-figure, so flying performance was similar. Unfortunately for me, my camera died before I may fly it quite a lot of short flights (the digicam already had points from it's automobile obligation days). for sure, though, I will likely be ordering a new camera.
Summary
I have had a whole lot of fun with this quad. It is a good flyer, has good battery life, and has plenty of energy. My youngsters also prefer it - they will add Legos to it and construct cockpits and different stuff. The quad can carry a decent amount, but it's going to run out of power in a few dozen small blocks. With the ducted props, it easily bounces off of stuff when flying, so small bumps do not automatically imply crashes - which is good for learning to fly. Overall I actually appreciated this quad, and give it two thumbs up!
